Duck Decoy Carving

Here's a duck I started about two years ago.
Im having difficulty figuring out how to paint it. Any other duck carvers out here?

Plain old pine. I was looking at the decoy you pictured above and it looks like you are painting it as a mallard drake, green head, white neck band, grayish body. The wood cutout however with the long neck looks more like a goose. It could be easily painted as a Canada goose.
