All About Pocket Knives

So I see these now and then anyone know who makes them where to get etc...

Looks middle eastern, i see them in the store here occasionally.

Looks like the maker is Samir Ahamd from Pakistan, and you might try Perry knife works, he usually has several models available.

I can't tell you anything about the knife except it's a good looking automatic.

I have purchased two and they are well made, heavy, strong snap.

They don't sharpen well.Pointy stabbers.The pajamas pakamascus can chip too on some of the autos where the lock meets the blade.

I can actually put you in contact with a Pakistani man who makes these they are made in Pakistan they are made by hand I’m not sure on material quality thought and I have some photos of similar ones and buck 110 autos clones but they are done up to look completely different from the original buck just 110 style

It’s kind of cool but idk how much I’d trust them for how much they charge

Here is a similar one same style just stag handle this one I saw pop up from the guy who made he it wanted like 175USD for it plus $20 shipping

They are slick knives and work and are made by hand but there made from extremely cheap material

To put it into perspective a Chinese knife has better material quality than these knives at least from my experience with them

I can show you some paki knives I own if you’d like to see to show you there just to look pretty.

Thanks for the info and pictures. They kind of remind me of the RPKs (Russian Prison Knives) I have seen, which are pointy autos not really made for cutting.

I have seen those before I really want one and I’d like one of those “ak47” parts switchblades authentic or clone but I haven’t seen any they are cool knives.

Not a switchblade but here is a paki knife I had made it is a nice knife for displace purposes which is typically what I use it for as the blade steel is utter garbage.

The knife is insanely heavy too the blades are also really annoying to open and they have lots of wiggle.

The reason I went with a paki knife is simply it was cheap and no American company would do the custom Dixie flag handle and I have not worked with resin before ive only worked with stag and wood.

I love how they look but man they are some actual atrocious quality this knife was about $100USD but compared to the 1 American I found who would make it and considering I wanted it for display purposes I cheaped out which I regret very much.

Any time I have lots of other knives I could post as typically I buy random lots of knives and that’s how I get some of my paki switch blades as me personally from what I’ve experienced with the ones I just got in lots of never buy one especially for what some of them want for them.

They look cool but depending who you buy from can be really garbage knives I have met 1 Pakistani man who makes quality switchblades from quality steel he imports from the US.

Overall it was the seller was an actual pain though I will admit I never want to deal with him again and when my knife got delivered to someone randomly 2 hours away he blocked me on everything so I just contacted the bank and than had the money returned and than randomly the person who revived it texted me saying they have a package of mine so we met up I paid the guy $60 for fuel and we went our separate ways

He also would just randomly try to change the price and would insult me for standing on only paying 100USD

In about 1976 I discovered Indian made knives. The exchange rat with India was about 12:1.
I could buy switchblades for $2.75!

I have bought several Samir Ahmad knives and also several Orang Zaib knives. Both seem to be well made and work perfectly. I know nothing about metals so not sure about the quality of material. Overall they are heavy, affordable, strong snap and lock up. Both can be found on major knife sites.

I wish I’d just buy them to refurbish with better materials.

I have heard of them and I have owned 1 Samir Ahmad knife and it was great besides the fact the blade felt really crappy it never held an edge not that I really cared but the knife itself was amazingly well built and didn’t have gaps chips scratches or anything and I got it for a fair price.

My opinion, paying $100- $200 for these seems a little silly to me.

In a way you are right but I do also disagree I have ran into a select few knife smiths and in all honesty there knives were very much worth it but in my case for my knife the reason the price was higher is shipment to Canada and import fees DHL hit me with the knife itself was $40-$50 but my government has kinda screwed us so shipments coming to Canada in general are expensive with shipping.

DHL shipping was $25 plus another $15 import fees they don’t tell you about until it’s at the border on top of the $40-$50USD knife itself

It’s very hard here in Canada to even use the word cheap with ordering stuff online/coming from outside Canada especially the US and places like china Pakistan Taiwan etc I one time ordering a knife out of the US got hit with a $90CAD fee at the Canadian border it’s so bad.
