Valor Japan Hi-Stainless 4000314 Knife with Stones in Handle

Hi:
My late father in law collected knives. I'm going through his collection and have run across a Valor Hi-Stainless 4000314 knife I can't find any information on. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what it is.
The knife is a brand new late 1970s to early 1980s Valor 4000314 that has what appear to be stones inlaid in the handle. I say appear to be stones because I can't tell if they're stone, plastic, or something else. Regardless, there are 5 different ones and they look like Mother of Pearl, Black Onyx, Alabaster, Agate and Turquoise. They are cut in small triangle shapes to form an interesting pattern.
I've searched the internet and can find information on Valor 4000314s with wood in the handle, but I can't find information this one. Can anyone tell me anything about it and, if possible, give me an approximate value?
Thanks in advance for the assistance.
