All About Pocket Knives

Can anyone help ID on this blade? What country it is from? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe it is a kindjal. Looks more like middle eastern than Russian but not certain what it is. Very cool looking piece! Hopefully someone here will know.

I don't think the handle is original, and the sheath was modified, the sheath is made of wood with etched tin, cloth covering the wood in the middle. The tin is deteriorating in parts, while the cloth is in stable condition, I am thinking it would be better to remove the cloth and handle, before selling it. Any thoughts? Thanks

Just to be clear, put a magnet up to the part you are calling tin. If it attracts, it is sheet steel. If it doesn't, then it is something else but not tin. Tin is a soft metal used in refrigeration coils, and is commonly part of the alloy in cast lead bullets that shooters use. Many people make the mistake of calling any thin steel sheet "tin".

It is non magnetic, very soft, softer than aluminum, and under the brown scale very silver.
