Edmund Davidson knife value

My father-in-law's collection includes this Edmund Davidson drop point hunter (I think). I've read a bit about Davidson, who is out of Goshen, Virginia. Curious about this knife's value. I've seen ranges for E.D. knives from hundreds to thousands of dollars.
