Antique knife identification please

Hi anyone have any idea please, it’s obviously very old?

A little hard to read but if it is indeed "ONB" it could be A/W/ Wadsworth, Germany. c.1910 Have you tried a pencil on the tang? Good luck. J.O'.

As for the pattern, I believe this is a budding/grafting knife, where the blade is used to cut and pry open bark on trees getting a blooming branch grafted onto new rootstock. the only other type of blade I know of with this kind of up-sweep to it are the "one hand man" knives of Civil war era that have fork tines on the end to be used as a fork by war wounded veterans and such. As I see no tines, I guess budding knife. Hope I'm right! Good luck with the I.D. Mikey
