Found today in Snow Hill MD. Bingham Hdwe. Cleveland. 1841-1930. 7-1/4" LOA, 3-3/4" blade. Nice long swedge, thumb notch. "Remington/Dupont" sheath. (Original?) Looks like maybe a KA BAR or Remington piece ? Any opinions welcomed. J.O'.

Looked it up in an old 1940's Bingham catalog. Most likely KINFOLKS. O'.

Definitely a Kinfolks product. Pocket knife guys always make me nuts not being able to tell a Kinfolks from a KA-BAR or Remington! I have the same model marked Kinfolks and another marked Cattaraugus. Sheath is not original. Oh, and that's not an opinion and if it has a brass nut holding the pommel on it is likely pre war.

Not trying to drive you nuts. Untrained eye you know. Extremely rare for me to buy a fixed blade. The Bingham catalog page shows the full range of Kinfolks knives. This is a nice sized knife for a boy. Thanks for the info. John

Sweet finds, J.O'., and I bet you can find a Remington for the sheath easily enough.

Definitely a pre war knife. I have them with stag pommels too, I don't know if Bingham offered that or not. Mine with stag pommels are marked Kinfolks and Cattaraugus. I have a couple of Bingham's marked knives, not one like that. Bingham is one of the 20-22 names I have seen stamped on Kinfolks made knives, they were the most prolific producer of contract hunting knives in the US I think.

I have three fixed blades marked and sold by Schrade CutCo. They are all Kinfolks. Schrade CutCo never made a single fixed blade (or razor; I have 3 of those) to my knowledge.
