Poetry from the inventor of bubble wrap

He worked at Duncan Meter in the shipping department. As an engineer, he worked to develop new methods to protect sensitive instruments during shipping. He introduced the world to bubble wrap, but never had his name attached to the patents as they occurred at work.
He was also an amateur poet. Writing was mostly as an outlet, but he also wrote with a group of other working men/poets. He was my great-grandfather. Here is some of his writings roughly circa 1935-1947. Spoiler alert: He was not an FDR fan, and maybe a bit of a chauvinist.
