I’m a fan. I like the size and looks, and it’s the first totally new “traditional” pocket knife pattern from Case in decades. It’s not a mini-this or tiny-that!
I don’t have one yet. I rarely buy knives from online sellers but when they start showing up in stock at a local dealer where I can pick one out I plan to get one or two.

I liked what i saw on them also. I ordered a couple from Shepherd Hills. First one should be delivered on monday. Looking forward to it.

Saw that in last months Knife ma. Kinda like it but dont do Case. Just a tad different.

I’m interested in seeing them in person. Pictures I’ve seen look good but I think I’ll hold off buying till I can see and hold one. Then I’ll know for sure if I want one.

I have three on the way. Two have been ordered for awhile, and I have no idea when they’ll show up. I checked two local hardware stores with no luck. The one that’s a master dealer said they got a few in, but they sold right away. All the online dealers I’ve checked show them either “On Backorder” or “Out of Stock.” Seems like Case may have hit a homerun with this one, and that’s a good thing!

I like the look. Still trying to decide if that will be my next purchase.
I envy you guys that can stroll on down to a local shop and hold 'em in your hand.

My budget is tight now but it is very likely that I will buy one in he future. I'd prefer more than one blade. In time that may be an option in a pattern that apparently is selling well. Regarding the handle pattern, what is its number? I don't obsessively need to know Case pattern numbers myself, I'm only asking for my tom cat.

BR’135. For example a bone handled single blade version pattern number is BR61135. BR for
Bill
Ruple. 6 for bone, 1 for number of blades, and 135 for the handle die code.

Here are the three I have gotten so far. Fortunately, the local hardware store is a Master Case Dealer, so I have been dropping in every couple days to see which Axe Handle and Cheetah Cubs patterns he has received. I'm glad I can look at them in hand, as I have found that the Bones on most that I have looked at were darker with much less contrast in color than these three that I chose. I have picked up the 5 different Bone Cubs and these 3 Axe patterns so far.
I typically don't buy newer Case knives from the dealers since I feel they are usually overpriced for the quality, but these are priced low enough and interesting enough to gain my attention, and I feel they will hold their value better than most patterns.

Interesting pattern. The dip at the butt of the handle gives the appearance of a Lockback. Looks exactly like the cutout for a lock release. But it isn’t.

Thanks, Ken. I didn’t know that the Case/Ruple model was a Lockback. I haven’t looked at it because I already know I can’t afford it.
I haven’t heard of 135CM steel yet. I’ll have to take a look at that. Sounds interesting.

Sorry, it should say 154CM. My typo.
I fixed it. 154CM is the steel Case used for the Bose collaborations. They use it in some other higher end knives also. Here is a link to Case’s descriptions of steels they currently use

I got one of these and a Cheetah on Pre order from Red Hills cutlery.
I am glad they have some thing new for someone to get in on the ground floor for collecting.

I had not thought about getting in on the ground floor until I read your post. You're right, it's a great opportunity, especially for a younger collector, but still a good chance for anyone to build a complete collection of a pattern!
