Greetings all,
Can anyone confirm that this is an old Kinfolks knife? There are no marks on the backside, and can only make out “ USA” on the front. The sheath looks homemade.
Thank you!
Bert

Definitely a Kinfolks product. Could have only had an etch on the blade from a retailer. Kinfolks was probably the most prolific maker of fixed blades made on contract for other companies, I have a list of at least 20 companies they made knives for. Yours has been well sharpened down and has a non original sheath but still a nice knife, By the way, on a fixed blade knife the tang is inside the handle, the area they are usually marked is called the ricasso.

Thank you Gunsil,
That explains the lack of a stamping. Also good to know the proper term, ricasso. I’ve heard the term but got it mixed up with folders.
