All About Pocket Knives

I’m considering buying an old pocket knife to add to the collection. I don’t have a three line, or a four for that matter. This three line tang stamp does not match any that I can find referenced online. Does anyone recognize this? The fact that the third line is NY USA makes me wonder.
The photo is from the secondary blade, the main blade has the sword logo.

Still unless I missed it, which is possible, the stamp I have pictured was not shown or mentioned in either of those links.
The stamp is on a knife that is currently in an auction on eBay that I’m interested in. I don’t know why anyone would bother counterfeiting some old Camillus pocket knife, but….
The tang stamp shown is on a secondary pen blade with the main blade having the sword stamp on one side and the number 2020 on the other. Researching that pattern is giving me grief as well.

From the end of WW2 Camillus used a no line stamp followed by the short line. In was only for a short time. Several of us here have a collection of these no line stamps. Most common is the model 99 scout type knife. Look under the Camillus thread and punch in "no line" in the search box and you will find some examples. They usually don't command a premium in price.

Unless I am missing something, I don’t believe that I have seen this particular tang stamp. I don’t believe it aligns with either of Camillus’s 3 line tang stamps. I would be interested in seeing the knife that this is on. Best of luck, wish I could have been of some help.

CarMan they are not super common except on 99's. You usually have to be looking for them to find them.

CarMan they are not super common except on 99's. You usually have to be looking for them to find them.

No worries sir. I assumed you were correct and didn’t compare yours to the OP.

The location of model number is reminiscent of those on my Hibbard, Spencer and Bartlett co. knives.
I was under the impression that the earlier pre 1941 didn’t have numbers.

The early 4 line , Sword brand did have 4 digit numbers on pile side of main . Then they dropped that and used a 2 digit model number . The 2010 became the 10 , the 2011 became the 11 , and so on . Also would say that this is not a 3 line stamp. The secondary blade has had that stamp early on and then sometime during the 4 line period only the main was stamped . So we should look at the tang stamp on the main , not secondary in this case . Nice knife with nice bones .

Could be an abbreviated stamp because it's on a smaller secondary blade?
