All About Pocket Knives

Just picked up this beauty. If any of you Robeson collectors don't have
a Carpenter's Stockman you need to get one. It is really well made and
the blades take a very sharp edge.

My question is since it is missing the shield, is it more likely it was made
toward the end of the era like 1965?

I can't answer your question, Bob, but I sure do like your knife.
I am fortunate to have two of them. One is unused.
They both have shields.

I have one, and they are great knives!

The lack of a shield doesn’t hurt the knife, as it appears it never had one. Robeson made it that way.

And this gives me a good chance to show my two knives off. Finally.
