Been hearing a lot about Latama and the Sarah Beltrame signing a new contract with new management.

Lots of changes in this hobby recently.

Well, no more Picklocks for one. I'm not a knife builder but isn't easier to build a picklok?

The guard bolsters on picklocks are typically soldered to the liners, whereas the bolsters on a swivel bolster are just pinned on. So that's another level of fabrication, and I'm sure it's not something that just anyone can do properly. Frank Beltrame solders the bolsters of their picklocks to the liners, same with the Latama picklocks.

By the way, if you're interested, as of this moment there are several Frank Beltrame picklocks available over at Arizona Custom Knives. They can be found in the first four pages of Frank Beltrame knives. There's one 11" with stag handles, and several 9" with various handles, including at least one with a Kris blade. The 11" and the 9" Kris can be found on page one.

By the way- there is no "new management" at Latama.
