Looking for any different Knife Hatch Set's with Different way's to lock the blade and How it works to change
Maybe we could add when each manufacture started making Knife Hatch sets
Western Date Please
Robeson Date Please
Colonial Date Please
Case the short Latch 1933 the Long Latch 1934
Ka-Bar Date Please

Thanks for posting haven't seen that one before any info you would like to post would be great. Date that Ka-Bar started the knife hatch would be a plus as I know a little

The KA-BAR stag wasn't made until after the war, the KA-BAR over USA mark was about 1948-1952. The stag ones will also be found with the Kabar mark and they are 1952 or newer. Your Robeson is a Kinfolks product and also made before the war. There are wood handled and celluloid handled Kinfolks made and marked versions. I have a Keenwell too, and an EK Tryon that was made by Kinfolks. Gary, are you coming back to Shenandoah this year? I can bring them along.

In 1990 I bought a collection of K/A combination sets. There were 18 K/A combo's in the collection including Case, Kinfolks, Cattaraugus, Coast Cut Co., KA-BAR, Union Cut Co., Jean Case and Shapleigh. They all included the original sheaths and I paid $2600 for the lot in April 1990. The Shapleigh was obviously made by Western and was arguably the hardest to find of those in the collection. Don't know that I've ever seen another Shapleigh.
Here are some pics of the only K/A from that purchase that I still have. Interesting that both the blade and hatchet are parkerized.
Added some pictures of other K/A combos I've had.
