One of those days you remember when, how, and where you heard it. We watched American Graffiti last night, silly movie in retrospect but a great soundtrack. I was Class of '64 so that's the stuff I grew up on. O'.

I find the Harrison Ford and Suzanne Sommers characters interesting. And Ron Howard, of course.

I heard that the reason Elton John wears glasses is because when he was a youth, his idol was Buddy Holly.
So, trying to be like his eye-glass wearing idol he started wearing glasses. However they were not the right prescription and he damaged his eyesight and then HAD to wear glasses.

Was at the Surf Ballroom and Museum in Clear Lake Iowa a few years back. Wasn't much there, but it was still interesting.

I'm not sure I have this 100% right, but I think that scene was filmed at an intersection in Petaluma, CA and there is a marker there today.
