Because I'm not a verified member.
I have a low cost cell phone so my phone does not scan qr codes.....it takes a photo of them.
I contacted them thru their AI bot but it's "artificial" so it can't comprehend me not having a current fancy
up to date phone that doens't scan QR codes.

I also had a problem with PayPal just a while back and tried to contact them and resolve it. As you say I was greeted with AI and told specifically that my problem had been resolved and they had refunded the buyer his purchase price. THIS WAS A HUGE ERROR. The buyer stated to them he did not receive the item, so they refunded him, but the fact was that I purchased a shipping label through PP and the item was delivered to the address specified by the buyer on the shipping label according to USPS tracking. I had to state to AI at least 10 times I needed to speak with an agent and AI assured 10 times that my case had been resolved, and the outcome would not be changed. I persisted and finally got to speak with a real person and of course within 5 minutes the issue was resolved, and they restored the money to my account. AI may be a great thing in the future and no doubt can resolve many simple issues today but can't help much in the event of a porch pirate. Why they didn't look at the tracking on the shipping label and see that the item was delivered to the correct address is beyond me.

Yes, everything is so much easier now.
