The date code on your knife most closely resembles the 2008 date code but that throws me off a bit as I thought the Buckskins were about 20 years older than that.

This is a 'Buck Skins' model 529. The handle material is an overlay of genuine alligator skin. The date code indicates the knife was made in 1988.
