Just Needed Someone To Care

This is a homemade knife I got from my friend Michael. It had electrical tape covering the entire handle and must have been there for some time.
I could tell there was wood under the tape but I had no idea what shape it was in until I removed all the tape which was a sticky job. I sanded and polished the blade and then sanded and conditioned the wood handle. After putting an edge on it I have decided to give it to my grandson that is
in a Christian scouting organization in South Texas. The knife is very solid and it will go great with his scouting gear.

That looks like it will be a very useful addition to his Scout gear. Nice rehab on that one, looks like a solid knife.

Looks like a stout knife that will give years of service! Even nicer with the tape gone and wood refreshed, I imagine.
