All About Pocket Knives

I’ve seen a lot of Colonial Electrician knives. As well as many from the other brands, but I’ve never seen a colonial like this with the serrated blade. Is this common or a more scarce version? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That serration looks after market to me. Looks nice, but I'm not certain it's factory. I could be wrong, but that's my guess. I have no catalogs or anything to corroborate that, it just doesn't look completely uniform.

The yellow is also not common though, so perhaps you do just have an uncommon run of some sort or another

Yea I have no clue. Just no I haven’t seen on before. It appears to still have the factory edge. It hasn’t been used. I guess someone could have restored it and made those and made the scales. Just seems like a lot of work for that knife.

I have owned a lot of Colonial electricians and have never seen that. It looks factory to me. Based on the appearance of the knife and the handle material, I believe it is a later production knife, 1980's to 90's. My guess is that the serrations are there as wire stripping notches.

I agree it looks factory to me as well and my guess was it was made in the 80’s as well. Definitely an interesting one and glad I ran across it. Thanks for your input.

I looked through all my colonial catalogs from the mid to late 80s could not find that one but it sure looks factory made to me.

I also say factory.
Colonial did a lot of different things.
Too bad Bobby P is no longer with us. I enjoyed his insight on all things Colonial.

I even got Bobby's book when it came out,great interesting book.very informative. Was very sad to learn he had passed,enjoyed reading what he posted.

I've seen one just like yours--except the scales were orange. So yes, it's factory.

Very cool looking and I'm sure a very uncommon version on the knife. Could have been a limited SFO run.
