All About Pocket Knives

The pearl knives are Bruckmann these are some of the nicest knives I have ever seen. The main blades are thick, fit and finish is awsome the blades have been polished by crocus inside and out. Every surface has been finish even the inside of the blades.
THe other is a cel wood finish Rostfrei, same thing knife finish is superb, why they used cel I don't know.

Oh, rostfrei isn't a brand, but means "rustfree" or stainless in German, in case you weren't aware.

The pearls are stamped with MANN and a bridge over it.

The other knife only says SOLINGEN WITH A MAN AND WOMAN HOLDING HANDS LIKE DANCING.
Thats all I have of the pics for today this knife other than handle material is of close work man ship to the pearls.

Did I mention the pearls have like a manufacture file work on the brass spacers hard to see in the pics. Also these 4 knives resist finger prints more than my other knives...I know that sounds wiered but ....true

Nope thats a pretty common stamp...this is more like a dutch looking woman and man. I've seen it before I will get a picture of it maybe this weekend.

I figured that would be too easy.

If they look Dutch, you might want to try your hand at some wooden shoes with that knife.

In my never to be humble opinion, Bruckmann is a very under-appreciated brand. Workmanship is top notch. It was a single proprieritership (no points off for spelling) from start to finish. When the owner retired or died, the plant shut down.
They are fine knives! and yours is no exception.

This is why I'm hanging on to these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0215869571 That is a crazy good deal for these knives. I've seen 80's era CASE peral knives go for more than that. The quality is something that needs to be held to understand. I was lucky to aquire these. owww and my spelling sticks!

Note thats also a bad picture the master blade on that knife is as thick as both the back springs.

I can't help much with "current" value for the Bridge knives, but I think you got a bargain.

Several (about 25) years ago, I traded a coupla customs to AG Russel, for a small sackful of Bruckmann's, 'cause I was so impressed with them. One of them was just like the 4-blade you've got. I remember very well, that I sold that one for $75. And, this was when a new Fightn' Rooster pearl sold for $35...perhaps that's one way to compare 'em ?

At any rate, you've got some very nice examples of quality cutlery, IMHO. Take good care of 'em, pls.

I'm more impressed with the 2 Bruckmans with the THICK Master blades but now that I look at the one you were talking about these small pen blades are like razors they also even though their in small tight quarters do not rub at all. I have come to the point to except that all newer knives rub maybe they should not. Thanks for the very useful info
**OW you look at the 4th picture down you can see that it has file work on the spacers .. well I think it is unless they had I machine do it??
