Picked this knife up and have no idea how old and never heard of this knife. Any information would be much appreciated.

English made, they made razors a lot too as well as kitchen cutlery. They made knifes from the 1820’s -1950’s I believe, but I don’t know how to date them. Nice old bone on that one.

Looks like probably an old Wade & Butcher whittler pattern. Here’s an old post with some information you might find helpful. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... php?t=7720 The company was located in Sheffield, England from early 1800s until it closed in the 1950s.
If it is not stamped “Sheffield” or “England” anywhere it possibly was made pre-1890 (the McKinnley Tariff Act of 1890 required items made abroad for sale in the U.S. be marked with the country of origin). Nice old survivor with beautiful “pocket worn” handle covers. Someone really liked the knife, and used up most of its value - it’s been sharpened a lot and looks like a secondary blade is broken. Bet it has some stories to tell, if it could only talk!

Congress whittler, fairly hard to find pattern. There are thousands and thousands of knives marked Sheffield made before 1891, it is the England mark that makes the knives made after 1891.

Nice old worn bone on that one!
Here's one I have shared before. Despite the condition of the blade, it's one of my favorite knives. I also had problems finding information regarding dating this brand, as most of the info out there focuses on the razors...

Great knife Glenn, excellent brand and I like that blade.
