Model 1308: Manual Italian swing guard

This is the original Italian model predating the Puma Medicis. Later in the 1990s an automatic version was made.
Mankind may have had these all wrong since the late 1950s.

Hiya! I have several different companies’ catalogs from the late 1950s with these inside. With true dates etc. All say Italian made. Some have bayo style blades while others feature flat blades.
I’ll dig some good things out later after work.
The Puma factory was asked about these and their info dates the Pumas to the 1960s.

So after doing some digging, it seems the Pumas in Germany were made in 1964 but I have Italian catalogs predating by a number of years.
Does anybody else have any more information?

Here’s one of many ads that predate the 1964 German Pumas.
Edit: Excellent. The old ad also lists 3 sizes.

JJ- There is no hatchet to be buried. I asked a legitimate question. You can bet that any information that I would post would be inundated with requests for proof.
I have set back and quietly watched BVK post about how wonderful he is, and read all the innuendo directed at me. You have seen it also-perhaps even been a part of it. I can promise you that WILL stop very soon. I am demanding that all the snide remarks stop, all the "blah blah is the best repair person" stop, all the threats stop, all the stalking stop, all the attempts at stealing passwords stop. All of this has been, and is currently happening. Provisions are currently being made to correct all of this. All I want is to simply be left alone, but after 7 years I doubt that will voluntarily happen-but I can guarantee that it WILL HAPPEN.
I have always said that BVK is a great researcher, but his people skills are seriously lacking.

Here is the listing with 3 sizes of these Italian models.
If anyone thinks these are hard to figure out…the standard Italian swing guard is even more difficult an adventure. Lol

Okay I looked these up.
I found 2 from 1959 from one company. One from 1959 from a different company. Both are in the USA. And one from 1968 from yet another company but in Maniago.
I’m happy you asked. I love posting new unknown info. Not everyone likes it though, but such is life. Not everyone wants to learn as it makes them feel little. You may want to just block me if you don’t like what I offer. That what my legal team suggested a few weeks ago.
But from the responses it sounds like 99% of everyone loves factual paperwork.

Interesting the later deerfoot hunter patterns has the exact same style guards.
