Compare your knife to this knife. Replaced handle?

Yes, the blade does seem to be the style of the WW2 survival knife Case made from (I think) the late 1930s to the early 1940s. It makes sense that after the war they might have tried to get more mileage from those blades by offering a stag handled hunting knife version. Handle is a non-original replacement. Nice older knife and one of the few knives that used the curly XX type stamp. I believe the Case Bowie knives with this type of stamp are WWII era as Dennis said.
