All About Pocket Knives

I recently acquired an imperial fixed blade thay I've never seen anywhere else. From the tang stamp, it appears to be from the 1936-'52 era.
What's unusual is the spine thickness (4.6mm) and the stag handle.
Has anyone here seen anything like this before? I'm thinking that the handle probably isn't original.
Although, I've also never ran across an imperial blade with a spine this think.
Any light you can shed is much appreciated

I'm no expert, but I don't think the stag handles are original to that knife. I've seen similar Imperial fixed blade knives that had jigged bone handles that were not nearly as thick as those stag handles.

Your blade is from a WWII era Imperial MK1 combat knife. The thick blade was necessary for military use. Handle was originally leather washers with a plate steel butt cap. The guard is original to the blade.
