Hello,
I have this Keen Kutter Barlow style (I think) single blade with Simmons stamped on both sides of the handle. It belonged to my Great Great Uncle and is well used but snaps closed. I looked on this message board and on online and did not find any with the Simmons marking like this. If anyone could help, I would like to find out of this is a real Keen Kutter and if so who and when it may have been manufactured. Thanks, Mike

I just looked through Sellens' book and didn't see any Simmons bolsters. What's the closed length? Thanks.

The closed length is 3 1/4 inches. Thanks.

Sellens lists 3 ⅜ on the Barlows. I didn't see any pinned like that either. ::shrug::

Thanks for looking. I checked the measurement again to make sure and it is 3 1/4.
