Let's Do Some Knife Library Bragging

I think I have a pretty decent knife library (second shelf in photo below). There are 49 books and a dozen or so company catalogues, for a total of about 40" of shelf space. But I bet there are folks here who can put my library to shame... let's see what ya got!

And when we're done bragging I suggest we keep this post alive by posting when we get an exceptional new book in our library. I don't want to hear about you getting a new Goins' Encyclopedia or another Levine's Guide, but maybe a rare volume, a new release, or something else that's pretty darn special.

Thanks Skip.

Darn, I didn't know about the existing post. I searched for "library" before posting but missed this one. Oh well...

Here's my knife reference book shelf, I think it's all inclusive. Price & Zalesky's is my usual go-to for picture references.

I admit I've been buying more books thank knives lately, sort of trying to track down the rare and oddball books/catalogs. My new problem, I ran out of bookshelf space in my knife room, so I'm having to reconsider the layout. I've got 20 or so in a few boxes that haven't made it up onto the shelves yet. I haven't read through a lot of these yet, just taking them 1 at a time.

Well the only way to learn more is to read these books, and ask you guys questions. I'm trying to be smart by the time I'm an old guy. :D

Once upon a time, everyone was talking about Levine's 4th being the best reference book ever written. But I only use it as a last resort, and then it's only 50/50 that I will find something useful.

Wow, nice library, Carl!!
Very happy to have picked this one up at the OKCA show in April, for a very good price.

Thank you both. I'm often intrigued when I see knife book covers that others post, and I have to go check my list to see if it is something I have not heard of before.

Dang Carl, that's a great library. So far I think you have top AAPK knife library bragging rights.

I can't take all the credit. When my grandpa died in 2023 I inherited anything he had that was knife related. So I got probably 30-40 books from him that he used so much the pages were worn thin. I had already been buying knife books occasionally, but that really shifted me into high gear. Then when family asked what I want for Christmas/birthday, it's easy to just say "here ya go. Get me a used copy of this book off Amazon for $15."

I can’t compete with Carl, but I do have a pretty good library. When questions arise the problem is, I can’t remember in which book I saw the answer! ::facepalm:: ::dang::
