Anyone ever heard of ZIMM/USA

Good afternoon ole friends! It's been about 5 years since I was last hear and I've rekindled my love of knives. In reading some of the posts, it looks like we've lost a few good people, may God rest their souls. I picked up a knife that I cannot find anything on. By all appearances it seems to be a well made knife and not small either with a 7-3/4" overall length and a 3-1/2" blade. She's in pretty food shape with the exception of the one bolster being re-pinned. Oh, and it is a lockback also. The handles seem to be horn and the bolsters seem to be an older brass. Any help would be appreciated.

That knife is giving me Pakistan vibes, but it could also be an obscure custom knife.
Either way, I like it!

First, let me thank you for checking it out. It says USA in the backside of the tang and is really well made. I misspoke when I said I thought it had been re-pinned, I think it had a lanyard bale before because those holes don't go all the way through. I like it also, it is a really well made knife, and I am also starting to think it may be a custom. Man it feels good ro be back here, it's almost like going back to your old home. I'm retired now so I think you might see my name pop up more frequently.
Much appreciated for your feedback!
Richard

I did a hard search on two search engines for ZIMM knives, and all I found was the picture below. The person selling that box of knives says there's a ZIMM in it. The knife on the upper left looks like an identical design to yours, except it has darker handles and silver bolsters. So for whatever it's worth, it looks like there is at least one other ZIMM out there.

Killgar,
Wow, that is actually great news! Thank you so much for looking at my post and remembering to look for it, that means a lot! Yeah, you're right, it is definitely like my knife with the exception of the brass bolsters and maybe the handles. Now we just need to track down this elusive ZIMM maker! Thank you again so much!
