All About Pocket Knives

Following is the second GEC knife I obtained. Beautiful green handle, synthetic of some kind? Three blades, 1)wharncliff 2)tanto3) pen. At least that is what I call them. On one of the blades it says 1 of 50 and the #29 is etched on one of the bolsters. Closed this knife measures just over 4 inches. From what I can tell it is a good solid knife as is the other one I posted earlier. Value? is at the front of my mind. I assume that the numbers of the secondary blades denote their style. I wonder what the TIW means on the tang of the offside of the master blade?

Tidioute Iron Works. Or Titusville Iron Works. One or the other.

I like the knife, just not crazy of the bone dye.

Timdog I’m pretty confident those handles are bone that has been dyed and jigged.

Wharncliff main, pen and coping secondary blades. The small pen is almost a spear, definitely not tanto. Nice knife.

Appears to be a pattern 892309. Meaning pattern 89, primary blade is a spear point, 3 blades, made in 2009. green jigged bone, pinched and threaded bolsters. However I've never seen that profile on a spear point. Maybe that's what makes it a limited edition? Here's my 892210. Meaning pattern 89, spear point, 2 blades, made in 2010. Same threaded and pinched bolsters but with stag handles.

I see it or one just like it listed on ebay, erroneously listed as a pattern 66.

Very cool knife, as others have mentioned it’s from 2009, GEC Northfield, Melon Tester, executive whittler pattern. I believe this would be turquoise jigged bone, total of 97 produced (50 serialized, 47 unserialized).
