All About Pocket Knives

Hi guys. Has anyone ever come across a penknife like this? I forgot the ruler but it’s 6.25in full open. Comes with an old case. It’s sterling silver blade and part of the handle and the date that is on it is 1831. Found it cleaning out my Uncles attic.

Silver bladed ornate knives like that are called fruit knives. You can research the hallmark stamps to date it and find where it was made.
