A family member discoverd this when cleaning an overstuffed chair in a house he inherited. He thought it may have fallen out of my pocket when visiting (he associates me with vintage knives), but will now keep it and use it, given that who the knife owner is, or was, is a mystery.

He is now on an assignment working abroad, so is not providing me with the asked-for close-up photos of the mark and pile side tang stampings. But, he is interested, curious, which if I can pass on to him a detail or two from forum members, would I believe lead to more interest and more useful photos.

Surprisingly good snap, and no wobble to the single blade.

p.s. Not totally, "as found", since one view is after he cleaned the knife.
I wish I had known he was going to clean it.

Looks to be in pretty good shape with a nice full blade. Not sure who owned it but I'm sure someone was missing it years ago when it took a nap in that chair.

Most of the lost pocketknives I attribute to stuffed chairs and automobile seats.

Most ruined pocketknives I attribute to using the knife for tasks it was not designed for, i.e., a pinch bar, or can opener -- including instances when, moments before, you have handed your knife over for someone else to use.
