All About Pocket Knives

I have a Buck USA 110 1967-1972 3 pin lock back two line inverted stamp wood handles knife that I am trying to I restore. Someone did a number on the blade trying to sharpen it. Any tips on cleaning up the brass and blade?

The brass can be cleaned up with Brasso, Flitz, Semichrome, a Sunshine Polishing Cloth, or some other mild abrasive polishing agent.
The blade is a different matter. If it were my knife I’d leave it as is.

I would second leaving it alone. Including the brass. I like the toned look to the brass that the knife has earned thru the years.

Interesting wood on it. Very blond ebony with a cool stripe, and both sides match.

Back then the dark ebony was more desirable so the lighter striped pieces were not used often. Now people like the stripes.

If you send it to Buck they will give it a spa treatment and it will come back looking new. Last I checked it was $7 which includes return shipping.

If you send it in, tell them to leave the bolsters squared edges. Or it will come back rounded off like a new one.
