Soviet Era Folding Hunter Dated July 80 Izhevsk Plant

I can only imagine this was a bring back from the Afghan war. I doubt an enlisted soldier's knife with all that file work, it was made in a plant that has been making arms since the 1840's. At 5 1/4" closed, it does resemble American made folding hunters. This one has two blades, the secondary looks almost like a extra large champagne metal wrapper cutter/bottle opener. What you see is a heavily cleaned knife. I couldn't open it when I bought it and now, after a major Spa treatment, both blades walk and talk; loudly, no [play or wobble. The thin greenish-beige handles look like linoleum. The file work seems to have been added after the handles were put on as the file work extends onto the handle edges. I've doon enough cleaning to give it a respectable if not cloudy mirror image. The tiny circle, proceeded by the Cyrillic letter denotes the factory, a bow with an arrow. All comments encouraged.
