Quality of the new Remington knives?

I recently bought a Remington mini trapper on ebay. I really liked the knife. It was made in USA and I got it for a reasonable price so I thought I would buy some more Rem knives. I bought 5 more and they were all made in Japan. The seller failed to mention the Japan part. How good is the metal in these Japan knives compared to the USA knives.

I'm afraid you'll be disappointed with the quality of the Japan made Remingtons. If you want a high quality Remington, take a look at some of the pre 1940 patterns.
