I picked this beautiful boker usa plus up at a pawn shop here in NC. Even though it's a Chinese knife I just couldn't pass it up for under $30.

I’m curious where the USA comes into play with this knife. I’ve owned a few of the Boker Plus knives and they definitely were not USA made.

Boker has not made a knife in the USA in decades - IIRC since the 1960s. In recent years Böker has had some knives made in China, and as I understand it some assembled in Germany from Chinese-made parts. It’s easy to see how the newer collectors get confused though - there is even a “Böker USA” web site
https://www.bokerusa.com/, but none of the knives shown there are made in USA.
IMHO Böker makes the country of origin of their knives intentionally obscure and confusing. They have Böker Solingen, Böker Plus, Solingen Steel, etc markings, and the buyer who cares has to be diligent in learning what each of these mean in terms of where the knife was made. Of course, unfortunately there are many who don’t care, and just buy the lowest priced knife.

Yes this particular one is made in China as it's etched on the smaller blade. I'm not sure if boker ever made a knife in the usa under the boker usa plus name
