All About Pocket Knives

I’ve found a few knives lately that have some pretty low numbers from when they were listed a few years ago. I can’t find them in my listings and I didn’t take them down. Is there a way to notify store owners if they have item numbers being removed? One had a 44,000 number and another had a 62,000 number which dates them since we are now over 115,000. Just a heads up would be very helpful so I can re-list them or mark them down. Thanks.

Nothing should be dropped or removed unless the quantity is 0. Can you elaborate on your experience? When did you last see the knives that went missing. Could they have had 0 inventory?

Hey Bryan, I just wanted to know if there was something programmed into the system to do this. I probably set these aside for someone that never got back to me and I forgot to change the quantity back to 1 from 0. Not certain because it was so long ago. I have had that happen a few times. Thanks for the answer.

when a knife is sold and qty=0, what would cause that knife to be removed from a store other than the owner deleting the item?

Every so often, I run a script that archives a certain number of the oldest sold items to lessen the load on the server.

When was the last date that the script was run and can store owners be alerted to future executions of the script to heighten awareness?

I don't recall exactly. I'm going to guess it was around 6 months ago. We do not have a formal alert system in place to heighten awareness at this time. I can say that all store operators should be aware that old listings with 0 inventory are likely to be removed after a period of time. I don't think we've removed anything that sold within a 6 month period & probably more like a year at least (we leave the sold items in the store a long time).
