All About Pocket Knives

Has anybody ever seen a knife marked like this. 2 different tang markings. Both big blades have the same marks and the small blades have the same marks. The others I’ve looked are not marked like this.

I don't think that's unusual - great looking congress.

Not uncommon. Happens with many cutleries. Lots of examples in pictures right here on AAPK in fact.

Thanks for the replies. It had me worried. Bought it off eBay and didn’t see the difference in the pictures. Knife looks brand new but does have some blade wobble. It says Bertram cutlery with 124ds under it. That’s not an very old knife by the way I understand stand it

Most, if not all of them from that era are made that way.

Nice Frank Buster Fight'N Rooster ...totally different maker and brand from the OP (Carl Bertram) Hen & Rooster knife though. Both are German brands with "Rooster" in the name, so it's easy to see how they might be confused

I guess the point I thought I was making was that it had two different tang stamps and it was similar to his.

What caught me on the hen and rooster was a chart I saw for figuring dates, the small blade was stamped like an older knife and the big blades were stamped like a newer knife. I was hoping someone had not swapped the blades out. It’s disappointing on a knife in such good shape to have blade wobble like this one has
