All About Pocket Knives

We got through hump day so lets celebrate Thursday by showing your
Sears Craftsman knives. I picked up this one last Friday at Central
Kentucky Knife Show. This will be added to the 12 others I have.

I believe it was produced around 1979 and made by Camillus. #95072
Cost was a few pennies less than $8.00 in 1979.

Sears Craftsman knives were produced by several manufacturers
including Schrade, Camillus ,Ulster, and Imperial. Sears sold several
varieties of fixed blade and folder knives. Craftsman knives had a
lifetime defect warranty replacement where you can return the knife
to the nearest Sears for free repair or replacement. Sears was known
to make quality tools for the average working man or woman.

Here’s a few Craftsman and related knives. The Sta - Sharp line had a very nice product. High carbon stamped also a very good knife .

Rip, My "Sta-Sharp" is stamped "High Carbon Steel" too. J.O'.

Here it is; along with another one l dug out. I think l have a couple small pearls around; l'll have to check.

My wife bought me that box. Now I wish it was a tad bigger.

I have one just like this. That colored Delrin seems to very appropriately
represent a Craftsman from years ago.

I hate to see this thread die after only one week. There were nice knives posted last time around. I think that the knife posted by Ridgegrass was the most unique - certainly I have never seen a Craftsman of that design.

Here is a Delrin handled 9488, the Sears version of Schrade's 804. This knife is my overall favorite carry knife. The secondary clip blade was tipped when I got it, so I converted the tipped blade to a sheepsfoot.

Schrade/Walden/NY Nice older knife. Not nearly old enough for the repo catalog in the picture. Harold

Beautiful knives all, but J.O'., that is a real keeper.

I have to say, there are a BUNCH of nice Craftsman knives pictured in this thread so far, really too many to comment on each one individually. Looking forward to seeing more. IMHO, the real standouts are the pearl handled examples. I don't think I've ever seen a pearl handled Craftsman before.

Off the top of my head, I'm not sure I currently own a Craftsman, but I'm gonna double check that.

That knife looks never used and never carried. The handle appears to be bone: very nice!

I always knew that there were good knives sold under the Craftsman brand. But it is kind of eye opening to see an array of fine specimens like those in this thread. I note that almost every knife posted this week still has an etch. Great knives and photos, Fellows!

I have one very similar to yours. American Eagle Series Craftsman,
from 1972. Beautiful knife!
