What time frame this Imperial pocket knife from?

This was in my late uncle's things. I would like to know approximately how old it is. I'll be carrying it and would like to know the answer if asked. Thank you.

These knives with the fake hammer forging marks are not real old probably 70's or 80's
maybe some one with more knowledge will see this and chime in.

Yes; Imperial introduced that line in the early 70's and I don't think they lasted very long. You can find more info at Collectorsofschraderus website.

I don't know if fake is the right word here, Imperial owned the Hammer brand by then. It's not the "original" Hammer brand stamp, but it's not fake, just a nod to the past. Just to give the knife its due

I was referring to the marks on top of the blade that looks like it was hammer forged, they are too uniform to actually be hammer forged imo. The knife is perfectly legit.sorry for any misunderstanding.

Schrade added forge marks too at some point, I believe. They remind me of grill marks on a steak.

Im always taking pictures of my knives while I'm grilling, this hits close to home

Remington model 4807 kitchen knives (one marked Moorman) with similar forging marks on the blades and an lmperial barlow.
