What do you want to do with it at the end of the day? Use it as a kitchen knife, use it as a tool, decorate with it...?

ahhh,… move it on to the next person, I’m just fascinated with…. How to tell how old something is…. Wasn’t sure if someone could just tell me it was from the 1500’s…. I guess?…

ya, that is not my department - if I were a guessing man I would have put it in the 1940's but I wouldn't put any stock in that advice.

Yes, I did see what you did, sounds like something my best friend would say!…lol, and he definitely knows nothing about knives! But he would have made me laugh pretty good too, so thanks for the comment! I love it!

I think most of that rust will buff out.

You knife has an integral bolster at the ricasso, which isn't something most modern fixed blades have. I would consider this in relic condition, hope you can find some markings. Thanks for posting this.
