Hello!
I am hoping to get more info on one of my dads items he left me. I know nothing about knives but I think it is a
Masonic Kissing Crane Stiletto KC5243?? I want to get more details so I can give the Masonic stuff to my son when he is older. Thank you!

I would like to see the other side handle of the knife. It looks like the handle section with the Masonic shield was added to the knife at some point after the knife left the factory. Perhaps it was your father that customized the knife. Should make a nice keepsake.

Thank you Wayne! So the side that says "in search of more light" is the side with the Masons mark then the other side has the serial number? Please let me know if you have any ideas or want more photos:)

Have you asked some of the members of your dad’s Masonic Lodge? They may know about the knife or have purchased others like it. It looks similar to China-made “commemorative” knives from other organizations (like NRA, etc.).

It was a special limited edition released by Kissing Crane/BudK in 2014. Yours is heavily faded and aged (maybe it went through the laundry once or twice). It looks like either the handle pieces have experienced shrinkage, or the plastic spacer material between the handle pieces has crumbled away, or both.

Happy to be of assistance

I'm intrigued by the condition of the knife. I was thinking maybe it had been through a few laundry cycles, but looking again it kinda looks like it sat outside for a few years. Who knows, I guess it will remain a mystery.
