Looking for suggestions and recommendations!

I’m looking for suggestions for a new EDC.
I’m looking for a smaller, fixed blade knife for EDC.
I don’t need to “hide it” per se, but I want it to be discreet.
And I’d like to have a nice leather sheath with a high rise that keeps it close to the body.
Not opposed to a good looking kydex, or polymer sheath, but it can’t be a bulky, black tactical mess with a cumbersome, add on clip…
Blade about 3”-3.5” or so.
And no neck hangers… I ‘d like it on my belt.
Budget is under $100.
So… Anyone have any good suggestions? Please include pics if you can.
Thanks!

If you like it I hope you can find one. ::tu::

That's leaving the door pretty well open and only you will know what really fits the bill (new or vintage, American?, look and feel), that Remington above is a sweet little gem. but I was browsing for other toys and came across this one that reminded me of your post:

Its a hefty blade with some flashy design. D2 steel and looks like they use good materials.
(video there too):

And then I was reminded of a recent post on this one too, and after watching some clips and reading up it seems to be a hardcore little knife, like a Mora on steroids. The Peltonen M07 Ranger Puukko. And that's another way to go but where do we end ::shrug::

We would be more likely to be able to offer useful suggestions if you described what you like. For example, I like some curved edge near the point sweeping up to a clip point or a nearly straight spine like the Remington pictured above. Also I want a hand guard. Many traditional knives that were sold as bird and trout knives or skinning knives work for me. For a small drop point I like the discontinued Buck 116 Capper. You might prefer a straight edge in sheep's foot or lamb's foot syle or a variation of that like SwedgeHead posted or a tanto.

The complication you threw in was a high rise close to the body sheath. I've made sheaths by cutting out pieces of leather, gluing them together, then having a shoe repair shop run a stitch around the edge.

I'm pretty sure you can find a great knife that fits your needs here https://www.dawsonknives.com/

Whether you can find one in your price range, only you can decide, but I'll guarantee you will search long and hard to find a better quality knife.

I have this little Cudeman and I believe they make one size larger too in the same style. This one is $65 on Amazon with the sheath and Spanish made.

I was looking at that one!
I had bought a smaller Joker brand knife, about that size, and it was perfect, sheath and everything. I had the thing for a week, even posted it here, very excited about it… Then I noticed that there were some small chips coming off the blade?!?! The secondary edge was chipping off?!
It was that 1.411…. Type stainless, used by Victorinox for most of their Swiss Army stuff—usually a perfectly good steel— so why the chipping???
I sent it back..
But generally, I really like and have had good experiences with Joker products. So that was weird.
The Cudeman stuff and this knife in particular, looks good—might even come from some of the same facilities as Joker, and other Spanish brands…
And this is the size I’m looking for…

Very cool suggestion here. But a bit too big for what I need. Super pattern though—lots of history.

Was looking at their "Crafter." Heavy, small. Useful blade. Fuller handle than the neckers, which I appreciate, as I age. But then I looked at this one: https://www.chicagoknifeworks.com/brisa-pk70fx-bocote/

Gotta check the forum/ See if anyone has one of these that they want to move...
Or maybe a small Puukko...

I have the SissyPuuko. 5" blade. That's what I wear when I walk the dog, and when I'm in the woods. Great knife. But I need something a little more, discreet for daily wear. When I used to live in the country, no one bats an eye to a big Ole sheath knife. Lotsa folks have their Kabars and nice Hunters. Case 110s and similar knives in a belt pouch.
But after moving back to the city... Jeez Lousie! On the weekends, the busier places "wand" you and search you?!?
