Help identifying

Appreciate all suggestions on maker. The front side of the tang has what looks to be some sort of looping line on the bottom, and the backside has what looks like a crest of some sort.

It looks like it "COULD" be, I repeat "COULD" be,
the remains of a "SWORD BRAND" stamp.
SWORD BRAND = CAMILLUS.
Here are a couple of my "SWORD BRAND" stamps.

The bone sure looks Camillus to me. I think you're right Skip.

Sta-Sharp, Camillus made for Sears Roebuck used that same punch blade and shield. Found this picture on the web.
