This knife belonged to my grandfather and I’m having trouble identifying it

Welcome here.
Is there something stamped on the tang?

I can't read the stamp either Joe. It is posted in the Colonial forum, but since they requested help identifying it, not sure if that means it's a Colonial. ::shrug:: It's a "fishtail" pattern but that's all I can say.

We need clear in-focus close-up pictures of all markings on the knife to try to identify it.

Looks like it says Colonial, prov. Usa. Colonials are tough to date by tang stamp, they didn't keep records on stamps and dates. My guess would be from the 60's or 70's. It's a fun little knife ::tu::
