All About Pocket Knives

I picked up this knife in MT. View Arkansas .It is my first western fixed blade with Red handles .Is this the correct tang stamp for a model # 28 A P from the 1950 catalog pages .

Can't answer your question specifically but I see nothing at all wrong with the knife, looks good to me.
