All About Pocket Knives

Helli, just got back from a gun show and got a handful of knives. One of them is this Central City Knife Co knife. Found very little on it but thought it was pretty cool and the blades have great snap. From the little I found im thinking maybe late 1800s? i had never heard of that company and it was only $5!!!! So I couldn't go wrong. Any more info is appreciated. Thanks.

A very old and collectible brand. I would expect the pen blade to be stamped as well on a knife this old.

Thanks ..I just checked and I don't see any markings on the pen at all.

Thanks! Amazes me that after 130ish years that it still has the snap that it does. I've picked up many case knifes from the 60-70s that the tangs have worn down so much there is no walk and talk left.

Mostly a factor of care - just an occasional drop of oil will prevent that. Folks knew that in the olden days but unfortunately not so much in the last 50 years.

Thanks. I got another in that lot that is an IX-L George...first time I had seen Oil The Joints stamped on the blade.
