This knife was made by Olbertz - appears to be a tool knife - any ideas as to what it was designed for?

I have no idea what the one tool is.
Thanks so much!! I knew that I had seen this answered before, but my searches did not turn up the older threads.btrwtr wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:00 pm Miller Bros. has answered this before. It is a painter's knife for removing doorknobs and opening the door once the knob is removed. The square taper is used to open the door once the knob shaft is gone. The fat slotted end can also be used for opening paint cans.

For future reference and researchers, a Prest-o-lite wrench is approximately 3/16 (0.1875) inches square. The doorknob shaft is approximately 1/4 (0.250) inches square. While the painters tool might work (with some slop) for the Prest-o-lite valve, the reverse is not true - most Prest-o-lite key holes are too small to fit a doorknob shaft. viewtopic.php?t=50466New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 4:09 pmBut, I think the square in the handle is a Prest-O-Lite key.![]()
