it now holds some of my "jewelry".

My Pop sits atop it in his baseball uniform from WWII. I think he would be glad it still survives...

Man Kerry, what a post. It's a beautiful thing you did in memory of your Dad. I bet it means the world to you now as it did to your Dad. I love posts like this. He would be proud of you as I know he always was. It's a very nice photo of your Dad in his baseball uniform. He was a handsome dude! Now, as your dad would tell you, "get a haircut!"!
