Question about 4inch stockman ?

What years did the western boulder knifes have a buffalo head tang stamping on the backside of the master blade ? The knife has nickel silver bolsters (groved ) , Nickel silver linings , rogers bone scales , brass pins .

I don't know the answer, but I have had several like that. I assume that it was in the early post WWII years. Western had gone from the WESTERN STATES stamps pre-WWII to the WESTERN BOULDER stamps post WWII.
My guess is that they continued to use the older steer Skull stamp on back tangs for awhile. Sort of a "transition" stamp.
