What has been shown to prevent blueing or corrosion on D2 tool steel and 1095 HC Carbon Steel?
I'm trying synthetic gun oil and Coon P (brand) but haven't used either very much.

Thanks,

Are you trying to blue something and it doesn't work?

No, just trying to keep some D2 tool steel and 1095 HC steel knives from turning blue. I know some collectors like the blueing, but I want to keep them as mint as possible.

oil lightly and store in a dry place. if these are users, lightly rub with flitz to remove stains and re-oil.

Thanks johnnie f 1949:
These aren't users. I will try FLITZ on some. I've heard Ren Wax is good too. I'm going to use dessicant also.

Thanks,

justknivguy :) :)
