I Made this knife up for my youngest son as a congrats for earning his eagle scout rank. Damascus was made by a friend of mine, He made the billet I forged to shape and ground bevels heat treat etc. The beak of the eagle is brass, the white part is imitation ivory, and the dark wood is 5000 year old bog oak. I carved the beak and feathers in to the handles to the best of my abilities. The leather sheath I made also lined the inside and carved a feather on the front. My youngest is found of coins so I inset a coin in the sheath as well. Anyway Thought I would share here as Im sure some may appreciate a look at this one. One of these days maybe Ill get good at this stuff till then Ill keep making stuff in the shop

Great design!
Congratulations to your son. He has earned something exclusive to a small percentage of people, but more importantly he has learned things that will serve him well the rest of his life. And congratulations to you also. Being the parent of two Eagle Scouts myself, I know you are justifiably proud of him!

Mr. Rossr, I just today discovered your knife. What an absolutely splendid gift. The handle is beautifully rendered and so are the blade and sheath. This will be treasured and no doubt displayed for a lifetime. Congratulations to both of you.
